OUR ROOTS

Founded and created by Marcine Ko in 2004, Rocky Mountain Botanicals is the result of many family generations of natural healers and the love and compassion they had for all living things; animals, people and plants alike. With a deep respect for nature’s miraculous medicinal offerings, Marcine researched and formulated tirelessly for years, with abundant joy and enthusiasm. Herbs and plants were gathered from her gardens and during daily walks in the valleys and mountains of the Shuswap. She then began selling her creations at the local Farmers Markets and Health Shows. Word spread quickly about the quality and effectiveness of her home remedies and thus Rocky Mountain Botanicals began. She touched the lives and hearts of many and was dedicated to helping others through her natural healing remedies. Her aim was not only to continue the legacy of her family but truly make a difference in this world for those sick and in pain. She often said “Our only purpose for being here is to help others. Only then will we find true happiness”. Inspired by her memory, her passion for healthy living and alternative medicine we hope to continue her legacy.
